3 friends die as truck hits bike near Khilgaon flyover

Three friends died when a truck hit a motorbike near Khilgaon flyover in Dhaka early Saturday.

The deceased were identified as Joj Mia, 36; Al Amin, 34; and Mehedi Hasan, 28. All of the are from Mugda area, police said.

Around 3:30 am a speeding truck hit the motorbike carrying three people, leaving them injured.

Later, they were rushed to Dhaka Medical College and Hospital where the doctors declared them dead, said Zahurul Islam, sub-inspector of Khilgaon Police Station.

Duty officer of Khilgaon Police Station, said the truck driver ran away after the accident. Police are trying to identify the truck and its driver.
