Biman Bangladesh Airlines has fired its five staffers for their alleged involvement in leaking question paper for its recruitment examinations.
A letter signed by Biman Managing Director and CEO Zahid Hossain was issued in this regard on Sunday which said the order will be effective immediately.
The staffers are--motor transport operators Jahangir Alam, Mahfuz Alam Bhuiyan and Enamul Haque, and office assistants Awlad Hossain and Harun ur Rashid.
They have been sacked for breaching clause 12 of their employment contract.
Earlier on October 21, Detective Branch of Dhaka Metropolitan Police had arrested the five junior staffs of the national flag carrier over the allegation.
DB also seized soft and hard copies of questions, bank cheques, stamped documents, four diaries, admit cards of examinees, mobile phones and cash during the drive.
The recruitment examination of Biman was scheduled to take place from 3:00pm to 4:00pm on October 21.
Biman authorities postponed the written examination for several posts including 100 drivers an hour before the written examination was scheduled to start.
Biman has formed an enquiry committee Led by Chief Financial Officer Md Naoshad on Friday to investigate the incident. The committee was asked to submit its report within five days.
DMP officials said that they are trying to identify the masterminds behind the question paper leak.
