Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP)’s late President Ziaur Rahman’s 87th birth anniversary today.
He was born on January 19, 1936 at Bagbari in Gabtali upazila of Bogura and was the country’s seventh president.
BNP has taken a 10-day programme to mark the birth anniversary of its founder with due respect.
It will start placing of wreaths at Zia's grave at Sher-e-Banglanagar.
BNP's associate bodies will also mark the day with various programmes.
Besides, a milad mahfil will be organised by Ulama Dal.
