In relation to the clashes between police and Muslim devotees over the Ahmadiyya community's "Salana Jalsa" in Sadar upazila in Panchagarh on March 3, which left two people dead and more than 50 injured, three additional cases were filed on Friday.
With the new numbers, the tally of cases raised to 16 till now.
SM Sirajul Islam Huda, superintendent of police (SP) of the district, confirmed the news saying that the victims filed the cases on Friday.
In another development, eight more people were arrested in connection with the attacks, the SP said, adding that a total of 173 people have so far been arrested.
The accused were arrested after checking video footage and reports of the intelligence, he said, adding that no innocent persons will be arrested.
