Countrywide hourlong load shedding from Tuesday

State Minister for Power, Energy and Mineral Resources Nasrul Hamid said the nation will witness one hour long countrywide load shedding countrywide from Tuesday  to reduce energy subsidy.

The hourlong load shedding will be carried out initially for about a week. If that is not sufficient, the government will increase duration of the load shedding, he added.

The minister made the announcement at a press conference at the Secretariat on Tuesday. 

Regarding buying gas from international market, he said the government won’t do it as prices have skyrocketed.
