Young couple's bodies have been found by police inside their rented apartment in Mohammadpur.
Noman, a 32-year-old Saudi immigrant, and his wife Shamima, 24, who got married about a year ago, were identified as the deceased.
According to Abdur Rab, sub-inspector (SI) of the Mohammadpur police station, the security guards of their building alerted police on Sunday night after waiting for a long time outside their flat.
Noman was discovered hanging from a ceiling fan, while Shamina was discovered dead on the ground.
According to the SI, the pair was in problems since their families didn't approve their marriage.
Police suspect it to be a suicide-related incident.
He stated that the bodies were kept in the morgue at Shaheed Suhrawardy Medical College and Hospital for an autopsy.
