A 45-year-old man has been hacked to death by his rivals in Brahmanbaria.
The deceased was identified as Oli Mia, a former member of Union Parishad (UP).
Officer-in-charge, Md Nure Alam, said Oli’s rivals hacked him, leaving him seriously injured.
He was later rushed to the hospital where doctors declared him dead, he added.
Police detained two people and sent the body to Brahmanbaria Sadar Hospital morgue for an autopsy.
