Foreign ambassadors are permitted to advise on elections as long as they don't meddle in domestic issues or break diplomatic etiquette, warns Information and Broadcasting Minister Hasan Mahmud.
After grasping the consequences presented in the Bangladesh Press Council's annual report, the minister shared his views on Monday.
He added Foreign diplomats might discuss corresponding to participatory elections with any existing political party. They may interact with any political party privately to circumvent electoral disputes. The administration doesn't mind since we want transparent, participation elections.
The minister stated BNP members are fighting one another to promote anarchy.
"BNP discussion led to five parliamentary seats in 2018" (with the government). Hasan added this time; they'll be rejected if they choose violence.
The minister said Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman created the Press Council to clear up misconceptions between the people and media.
"The Press Council now solely reprimands. Hasan said the administration is attempting to strengthen this organization.
Hasan, joint general secretary of the Awami League, said Bangladesh's media is freer than many affluent nations.
"The government is collecting journalist data. Hasan said the Press Council's draught policy would be finalized shortly.
Nizamul Haque delivered the Press Council's (2022) report. At the conference, Iqbal Sobhan Chowdhury, editor of The Daily Observer, and Saiful Alam, editor of the daily Jugantor, also shed light through their presence.
