The e-ticketing system is set to be launched on an experimental basis for local buses plying in Dhaka on September 20, 2022.
Five companies-- Prajapati Paribahan, Paristhan Paribahan, Achim Paribahan, Noor-e Makka Paribahan and Basumati Paribahan --have completed an agreement on September 1, 2022.
Jatri Services Limited' is the e-ticketing partner and the pilot programme will be run under the overall supervision of Dhaka Road Transport Owners Association.
The decision stems from the initiative of Khandaker Enayet Ullah, General Secretary of Dhaka Road Transport Owners Association.
