Two middle aged men died after they came in contact with live electric wire at a house in Kasaipotti of Bakshiganj municipality area of Jamalpur on Sunday.
The deceased are Sayed Ali, 55, son of Taleb Uddin and his nephew Sultan, 45, son of Kubbat Ali of the area, said Tariqul Islam, officer-in-charge of Bakshiganj Police Station.
Sultan was the first to be in touch with the live electric wire while repairing water pump around 3 pm, and as Sayed tried to save him after noticing the latter in a critical state, the 55-year-old too got electrocuted.
Later, they were taken to Bakshiganj Upazila Health Complex where the doctors declared them dead.
