Nomination papers of 731 people cancelled

After scrutinizing the nomination papers of 2176 people, the nomination papers of 731 people have been canceled in the upcoming 12th National Parliament election on January 7.  The nomination of 1985 has been declared valid.

Election Commission (EC) Secretariat Director (Public Relations) Shariful Alam gave this information on Monday night.

According to the list published by the EC, 431 candidates submitted nomination papers in Dhaka region. Among them, the nominations of 114 people have been canceled and the candidature of 317 people has been declared valid.
