State Minister for Power and Energy Nasrul Hamid said that the outcome of the change in office schedule will be observed for one week.
He said this to reporters at the secretariat on Wednesday.
“As a result of load shedding, expected results are being obtained. The austerity move saved 11 thousand to 13 thousand MW yesterday (Tuesday). From today for the next 15 days uninterrupted electricity will be provided from midnight to dawn. As a result, we will see what results come in the next one week even after changing the office schedule,” Nasrul Hamid said.
Officials of government, semi-government, autonomous and semi-autonomous organizations are working under new rules from Wednesday to save energy.
According to the new rule, the office will run from 8 am to 3 pm. In addition, the government has brought changes in the two-day holiday and banking hours in educational institutions.
