To attend the 77th session of the United Nations General Assembly, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina landed in the United States today (UNGA).
The Prime Minister and her entourage boarded a VVIP chartered flight from Biman Bangladesh Airlines at 10:25 PM, landed in New York (local time).
The Premier was received at the airport by Muhammad Imran, Bangladesh's ambassador to Washington, and Muhammad Abdul Muhith, Bangladesh's permanent representative to the UN.
On September 20, Sheikh Hasina will take part in an event organized by UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres and the opening ceremony of the 77th session of the UNGA.
Borut Pahor, the president of Slovenia, and Filippo Grandi, of the UNHCR, will meet her on a one-on-one basis. She will also join the UNGA Platform of Women Leaders.
She will also attend a reception hosted by the US Vice President Joe Biden at night.
