Adding to the series of tragic road accidents in Bangladesh, at least two more people have died after the passenger bus they were onboard fell in to a ditch.
12 people injured are also reportedly injured. They have been admitted to the Dinajpur M Abdur Rahim Medical College Hospital.
The accident took place on Saturday morning at around 5:30 am in Dinajpur's Chirirbandar upazila.
According to Chirirbandar Police Station chief Bazlur Rashid, the bus was on Mohonpur bridge when it veered off the bridge and fell in to a ditch.
Local police believe the driver fatigue might have caused the accident.
The deceased in the accident has been identifeid as Halima Khatun (45), who was a passeneger, and Jamir Uddin (50), who was the bus supervisor.
The long haul bus was operated by "Hanif Paribahan."
