A ‘robot lawyer’ is all set to defend a speeding ticket on its first day in court next month.
"The world's first robot lawyer" will take over the court from next month.
The robot, artificial intelligence (AI) enabled legal assistant will help a defendant fight a traffic ticket, according to reports.
The AI robot was created by a startup called 'DoNotPay'.
It can be run on a smartphone and listen to all the court arguments in real-time.
The defendant will only say what the DoNotPay AI will instruct, New Scientist, a science and technology website reported. The location or defendant's name is yet to be disclosed. The in-person speeding ticket hearing is scheduled to take place in a U.S. courtroom sometime in February.
