Arjun Rampal has shared details of one of the most difficult periods of his life, revealing how the breakdown of his marriage, the loss of his father and his mother`s battle with cancer left him feeling emotionally overwhelmed and isolated.
Speaking during a recent appearance on a YouTube talk show, the actor reflected on the personal struggles he faced several years ago, describing it as the loneliest chapter of his life.
Rampal said he was dealing with serious challenges in his marriage at a time when his family was also facing a health crisis. According to the actor, the combination of personal loss, emotional strain and changing relationships made him feel as though everything around him was falling apart.
Looking back, he said relationships naturally evolve over time and not all people continue to grow in the same direction. He acknowledged that this realization played a role in the end of his marriage.
The actor also recalled the emotional impact of his mother`s cancer diagnosis, which came shortly after the death of his father. At the same time, he found himself becoming increasingly disconnected from friends and support networks.
Rampal eventually separated from his former wife, Mehr Jesia, in 2018.
During that difficult period, he met model and designer Gabriella Demetriades, whom he credits with helping him rebuild stability in his life. He described her as a strong source of support while both were dealing with their own personal challenges.
The couple later started a family together and welcomed two sons, Arik and Ariv.
Reflecting on the lessons he learned, Rampal emphasized the importance of accepting responsibility during tough times rather than focusing on blame. He said personal growth often begins when people confront difficulties honestly and move forward instead of dwelling on resentment.
