The government has decided to keep fuel prices unchanged for the month of July, despite several rounds of price reductions in the international market. As a result, the retail prices of diesel, kerosene, octane, and petrol at the consumer level will remain the same.
The Ministry of Power, Energy and Mineral Resources issued a notification in this regard on Tuesday.
The notification said that the retail prices of fuel oil set in a circular issued on May 31 will remain unchanged in July as well.
Under the current rates, diesel is priced at 119 taka per litre, kerosene at 113 taka, octane at 145 taka, and petrol at 140 taka per litre. The new pricing structure will come into effect from July 1, it added.
