Portion of James’ concert proceeds to aid students affected plane crash

Bangladeshi rock icon James, currently on a musical tour in the United States, has expressed deep sorrow and concern over the tragic fighter jet crash at Milestone School and College in Uttara, Dhaka.

In a gesture of solidarity, the organizers of his upcoming concert in Philadelphia have announced that a portion of the ticket sales will be donated to support students affected by the incident.

James is scheduled to perform at The Greater Philadelphia Expo Center on July 25 under the banner “Nogor Baul James: Live in Philly.”

The concert is part of his ongoing U.S. tour, which began last month. Organizers Riverine Entertainment confirmed the donation plan in a Facebook post.

The post reads: "We are heartbroken by the tragic plane crash in Dhaka that claimed lives and injured students. We stand with them. A portion of the ticket proceeds from ‘Nogor Baul James Live in Philly’ will go toward supporting the affected students.”

Meanwhile, James also shared a statement via his official Facebook page expressing grief over the tragedy.

"We are deeply shocked and saddened by this horrific accident. Our prayers are with the injured students and their families during this difficult time. We extend heartfelt gratitude to the Bangladesh Army, Fire Service, and rescue workers for their courageous efforts in handling the situation," the statement read.
