Noted playwright Salahuddin Lavlu has been re-elected President of while Kamruzzaman Sagar has become General Secretary of the Director's Guild, an organization of small screen producers.
The election for the 2021-22 executive year of the organization was held on Friday (February 26). Chief election commissioner SM Mohsin announced the results at around 8 pm.
Salauddin got 180 beating his rival candidate Ananta Hira, 149 votes. Sagar got 173 votes defeating Mostafa Kamal Raj with 181 votes.
Other office-bearers are—Masum Aziz as Vice-President, Piklu Chowdhury, and Firoz Khan as Joint-Editors, Ferrari Amit as Organizing Secretary, Shahidun Nabi as Publicity and Publication Secretary, Mostafa Manon as Training and Archive Secretary, Anisul Haque Email as Information and Technology Secretary, Ain And Welfare Secretary Niaz Mahmud and Office Secretary Golam Muktadir.
The total number of voters in the Directors Guild is 398. Of these, 359 people voted while 26 votes were canceled due to non-compliance, according to the election commission.
