Hasnat Abdullah, chief organiser of the National Citizen Party (NCP), has reiterated his demand for a ban on the Awami League, stating that no conspiracy can deter their movement.
In a post from his verified Facebook account just after 11am on Saturday, Hasnat wrote, “You can try to divide us, label us, or conspire against us—but you won’t be able to stop us. The Awami League must be banned.”
In a separate earlier post, he outlined the party’s upcoming political plans. “A mass rally of students and citizens will be held at Shahbagh from 3pm to press our three-point demand,” he stated.
“At the same time, sit-in protests will take place at locations associated with the July uprising across the country.”
On Thursday night, NCP leaders and supporters demonstrated outside the chief adviser’s residence in Jamuna, demanding both legal action against the ruling party and its formal ban.
