Bollywood superstar Salman Khan is reportedly in discussions to headline a war drama centered around the 2020 Galwan Valley clash between Indian and Chinese troops.
The project, if finalized, will be directed by Apoorva Lakhia, known for his work on "Shootout at Lokhandwala."
The narrative is expected to draw inspiration from a chapter in "India’s Most Fearless 3," a bestselling book by Shiv Aroor and Rahul Singh that chronicles real-life acts of heroism by Indian soldiers.
According to sources, Salman Khan is excited about the prospect of playing an Indian Army officer in a film set against the backdrop of the Galwan Valley battle of 2020.
He is seriously considering this project as a follow-up to his recent release "Sikandar." If all goes well, the film is expected to begin production in the second half of 2025.
The actor is reportedly keen on collaborating with new directors, having already worked with prominent filmmakers like Kabir Khan and Ali Abbas Zafar.
This project would mark his first collaboration with Apoorva Lakhia. The film is also expected to feature four other prominent actors in key roles.
Salman Khan`s last film, "Sikandar," directed by AR Murugadoss, received mixed reviews from critics and audiences.
With this potential war drama, fans are hopeful that Khan will return with a compelling performance, paying tribute to the brave hearts of the Indian Army.
