According to a recent exclusive scoop by Bollywood Hungama, Shah Rukh Khan’s daughter Suhana Khan and Boney- Sridevi Kapoor’s younger daughter Khushi Kapoor are being cast as the desi Betty and Veronica, respectively, in Zoya Akhtar’s Indian adaptation of ‘Archies’. The media outlet broke the story on Wednesday (August 18)
This will be the acting debut of King Khan’s daughter Suhana. There had been a lot of rumours and speculations about Suhana’s Bollywood debut for the past couple of years. Now sources close to the OTT giant Netflix have told Indian media outlets that it will be a blockbuster project.
Popular Indian filmmaker Karan Johar was very keen to launch both Suhana (whom he treats like his own daughter) and Khushi (whose elder sister Janhvi, Karan had launched in his film ‘Dhadak’).
Acclaimed Indian filmmaker Zoya has beaten Karan in that race.
Final production dates are yet to be revealed and the series’ lead character Archie has not been finalised.
Bollywood insiders have claimed that there is an ongoing buzz that Saif Ali Khan and Amrita Singh’s son Ibrahim will be playing Archie in Zoya Akhtar’s upcoming Netflix original series.
