Today marks the start of Bangladesh’s mission in the Champions Trophy.
In the highly anticipated Champions Trophy match between Bangladesh and India, Bangladesh won the toss and decided to bat first at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium.
The match is set to kick off at 3:00 PM Bangladesh time.
Captain Najmul Hossain Shanto expressed confidence in the team’s preparations for the match and reminded everyone of the memorable series victory against India in 2022.
Despite losing the toss, Indian captain Rohit Sharma didn’t let it affect his mood. He had hoped to field first, as India’s batting strength is their key focus, and it’s common for teams to want to test their batting capabilities later on in the game.
The team has selected three pacers and two spinners for the game, with veteran Mahmudullah Riyad being left out of the playing XI for this first match.
