Bangladesh‍‍`s Under-19 Women‍‍`s team kicked off their World Cup campaign with a comprehensive win over Nepal.

The bowlers did their job perfectly, restricting Nepal to a low total, and the batters made light work of the chase.

On Saturday, January 18, after losing the toss, Nepal was put in to bat first but struggled throughout their innings.

They were bowled out for just 52 runs in 18.2 overs.

The highest score from Nepal came from Sana Parveen, who made 19 runs.

Bangladesh, with a relatively easy target, reached 53/5 in 13.2 overs, securing the win.

Nepal‍‍`s batting collapsed early, with the first breakthrough coming in the third over when Nishita Nishi dismissed Sabitri Dhami.

Pooja Mahotra, who came in at number three, tried to form a partnership but was dismissed after scoring just 2 runs off 18 balls.

After the captain’s dismissal, Sana Parveen was left to fight alone, as no one else could support her.

She stood out as the lone fighter, making 19 runs off 32 balls.

For Bangladesh, Janatol Mawa was the star bowler, picking up 2 wickets for just 11 runs.

Anisa Akter Suba, Fahmida Chhoa, and Nishita Nishi also chipped in with a wicket each.

It was a perfect start for the Bangladesh team, who now look set for the rest of the tournament.
