The Ireland women’s cricket team is set to arrive in Bangladesh later this month for a three-match ODI and three-match T20 series.
In anticipation of the ODI series, the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has announced a 15-member squad for the Tigresses, which will be led by Nigar Sultana Joty.
This squad includes many of the players who represented Bangladesh in the recent T20 World Cup, reinforcing the team’s strength for the upcoming matches.
The Irish team is scheduled to land in Dhaka on Friday, November 22, and the first ODI will be played on November 27 at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in Mirpur.
The following two ODIs will take place on November 30 and December 2, with all three matches being held at the same venue.

Nigar Sultana Joty, Nahida Akter, Murshida Khatun, Fargana Haque, Sharmin Akhter Supta, Sobhana Mostary, Shorna Akter, Ritu Moni, Rabeya Khan, Fahima Khatun, Marufa Akter, Jahanara Alam, Sultana Khatun, Taj Nehar, and Sanjida Akter Meghla.
Standby players:
Dilara Akter, Disha Biswas, Jannatul Ferdous Sumona, Sharmin Sultana, and Fariha Islam Trisna.
This series comes at a time when the Bangladesh women’s team is looking to build on their strong performances, while the men`s team is facing challenges following a string of losses in recent series against India, South Africa, and Afghanistan.
