Excitement builds as teams announce squads for the 2025 Champions Trophy

After being on a long break since 2017, the Champions Trophy is back, and cricket fans around the world are eagerly looking forward to the tournament.

Scheduled to kick off on February 19, this year’s tournament will feature a hybrid format.

Reigning champions Pakistan are the hosts, and games will be held in both Pakistan and Dubai.

India’s involvement means that some of their matches will be played outside of Pakistan, with those games set to take place in Dubai.

A total of eight teams will compete in the tournament, and now that the final squads are confirmed, let’s take a look at which players will be representing their countries on the big stage.

Each squad has a blend of experienced players and fresh faces, making for an exciting mix.

Here are the squads for each of the eight teams:

Bangladesh:

  • Tanzid Hasan Tamim, Soumya Sarkar, Najmul Hossain Shanto (Captain), Mushfiqur Rahim, Mahmudullah Riyad, Jaker Ali Onik, Towhid Hridoy, Mehidy Hasan Miraz, Parvez Hossain Emon, Rishad Hossain, Nasum Ahmed, Tanzim Hasan Sakib, Mustafizur Rahman, Taskin Ahmed, and Nahid Rana.

Australia:

  • Pat Cummins (Captain), Steven Smith, Alex Carey, Nathan Ellis, Aaron Hardie, Josh Hazlewood, Travis Head, Josh Inglis, Marnus Labuschagne, Mitchell Marsh, Glenn Maxwell, Matt Short, Mitchell Starc, Marcus Stoinis, and Adam Zampa.

Pakistan:

  • Pakistan has named an initial squad of 18 players, which includes Mohammad Rizwan (Captain), Babar Azam, Imam-ul-Haq, Fakhar Zaman, Tayyab Tahir, Irfan Khan Niazi, Sufiyan Muqeem, Mohammad Hasnain, Abdullah Shafique, Naseem Shah, Usman Khan, Shaheen Shah Afridi, Haris Rauf, Abrar Ahmed, Kamran Ghulam, Salman Ali Agha, Haseebullah Khan, and Abbas Afridi.

England:

South Africa:
