The senior vice president of the Bangladesh Football Federation (BFF), Salam Murshedy, has been fined by FIFA. Additionally, former general secretary Abu Nayeem Shohag faces an extended ban from football activities. FIFA has also imposed fines on several other officials from the federation.
The penalties have been levied due to the officials` failure to properly account for the expenditure of FIFA funds.
Salam Murshedy has been fined BDT 1.3 million. Abu Nayeem Shohag, already under suspension, will now be barred from all football activities for three years, and he has been fined BDT 2.5 million.
