Paris Saint-Germain beat Bayern Munich 5-4 in a high-scoring first leg of their UEFA Champions League semifinal on Tuesday.

The match saw nine goals, making it one of the most dramatic semifinals in the competition’s history.

Bayern took the lead early when Harry Kane scored from the penalty spot. PSG responded quickly, with goals from Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, Joao Neves and Ousmane Dembele before halftime.

Kvaratskhelia later scored again to extend PSG’s lead, while Dembele added another goal as the home side looked in control.

Bayern fought back late in the game. Dayot Upamecano pulled one back, and Luis Diaz added another to reduce the gap.

Despite strong late pressure from Bayern, PSG managed to hold on to their narrow lead.

Bayern midfielder Joshua Kimmich said his team felt they could have equalised, while PSG players praised their focus under pressure.

The result gives PSG a slight advantage ahead of the second leg in Munich.
