In an unusual twist, Real Madrid is selling off some special items from their famous Santiago Bernabeu stadium—lockers used by football icons like Cristiano Ronaldo, David Beckham, Zinedine Zidane, Sergio Ramos, and Luís Figo.
The auction, run by Sotheby’s, will see 24 of these lockers, used by the club’s first-team between 2002 and 2022, up for sale with bids starting at £10,000.
Fans and collectors now have the chance to own a unique piece of football history.
The lockers are a reminder of an era of incredible success for the club, and each one has witnessed countless victories and celebrations.
In addition to the lockers, the auction includes other rare items. A three-meter-wide mosaic of the Real Madrid club crest is available, with a starting price of £12,000.
Also on offer are metal doors that were previously part of the stadium.
The items are currently on display at Sotheby’s London showroom, attracting attention from football enthusiasts and memorabilia collectors.
The auction runs online until November 26, giving fans from all over the world a chance to participate.
Sotheby’s also announced that a portion of the auction’s proceeds will go to the Real Madrid Foundation, the club’s charity.
The funds will also help cover some of the costs of the ongoing £500 million ($649 million) renovations at the Bernabeu.
As the auction gains interest, Real Madrid remains focused on the field.
The team is preparing for their La Liga match against Leganes this Sunday after the international break.
Following that, they face a crucial Champions League clash against Liverpool at Anfield.
