Shami out of Bangladesh ODIs due to shoulder injury

With a shoulder injury, Indian fast bowler Mohammed Shami has been ruled out of Bangladesh‍‍`s one-day internationals series, the nation‍‍`s cricket board announced on Saturday.

Umran Malik has replaced Shami in the 17-member squad for the series, which starts on Sunday in Dhaka.

 

Before the series, Shami injured his shoulder while training, according to a statement from the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI).

He could also miss the upcoming two-Test series, beginning in Chittagong from December 14.

ODI squad: Rohit Sharma (capt), KL Rahul, Shikhar Dhawan, Virat Kohli, Rajat Patidar, Shreyas Iyer, Rahul Tripathi, Rishabh Pant (wk), Ishan Kishan (wk), Shahbaz Ahmed, Axar Patel, Washington Sundar, Shardul Thakur, Mohammed Siraj, Deepak Chahar, Kuldeep Sen, Umran Malik.
