Former ODI captain, Tamim Iqbal revealed all the reasons of opting out of World Cup via a video from his official Facebook page today after Tigers departed off to India for World Cup Cricket.
Tamim explained how a BCB top official asked him to bat in middle-order inspite of him being the opening batsman for 17 years.
Tamim said, "I am unable to take all these. I have been opening batsman for the past 17 years. I have never batted for 3 or 4 number in my entire life. Naturally I got agitated with this kind of proposal from this individual of BCB. I don`t want to be a part of this dirty game. They could have told me that they don`t want to send me for the World Cup rather than approaching with this kind of recommendation".
In reply to this statement of Tamim in an interview by T Sports Shakib Al Hasan, who is going to lead the Bangladesh Team in World Cup said, "Anyone should be prepared to play in any situation if the team needs. Someone cannot leave the team out of nowhere. You are not thinking about the team at all".
The full program will be aired in T Sports at 11 pm tonight.
