Bangladesh captain Mahmudullah once again chose to bat first after winning the toss against Pakistan, in the second T20I in Dhaka. The visitors were leading 1-0 after a hard-fought four-wicket win in the first game on Friday.
The home side did not make any changes, opting to give their young top-order another run. This time though, Mohammad Naim, Saif Hassan and Najmul Hossain Shanto all had to contend with Shaheen Shah Afridi, who had replaced Hasan Ali.
Mahmudullah said that the start with the bat will be important for his side, although he felt they were playing at a better pitch today. It had a shorter boundary towards the grandstand, which is likely to make things interesting for the bowlers operating from the media end.
Babar Azam said that his batting depth encouraged him from the Friday game, but he was looking forward to a better showing in the second game.
