Players don`t have to be best friends as long as it doesn`t negatively impact the team, according to Bangladesh head coach Chandika Hathurusingha, who also reiterated the stance expressed by one-day international captain Tamim Iqbal.
On the eve of the first One-Day International against England at the Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium on Tuesday, Hathurusingha made these comments about the friendship between two senior members of the team, Tamim and Shakib Al Hasan.
In a recent interview, the president of the Bangladesh Cricket Board, Nazmul Hasan, made some stunning comments, pointing out that the star cricketers Tamim and Shakib`s lack of communication with one another is the largest issue the Bangladesh team is now facing.
