The first T20 match between Bangladesh and Ireland is held on in Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium, Chittagong. Ireland won the toss and took the field. Bangladesh got off to a smooth start with the bat. Liton Das and Rony Talukder made a storming start in the opening.
Bangladesh stucked to 207 runs due to rain. The target was for 104 runs in 8 overs. Bangladesh won the first of the 3 match series. The Tigers won by 22 runs according to the Duckworth Lewis method.
Ireland managed to score 81 runs for 5 wickets. Bangladesh`s right-arm pacer Taskin Ahmed took 4 wickets for 16 runs.
Ireland`s Delaney scored 21, Tector scored 19 and Adair scored 13. The second T20 match will start on March 29.
Earlier, Bangladesh scored 207 runs for 5 wickets in 19.2 overs. Ireland`s target changed when the rain came and messed it up.
