In what could be termed a lucky escape from a potential accident, three tyres of a private airline went off with 110 passengers on board as it was landing on the runway of Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport (HSIA) in Dhaka on Friday.
However, there were no casualties reported in the incident.
The flight in question was of the US-Bangla Airlines that was carrying the passengers from Thailand, the airport's Executive Director Group Captain Muhammed Kamrul Islam told reporters.
Following the incident, no international flight departure or arrival was delayed.
But two domestic flights were diverted to Chittagong airport, Kamrul added.
