A four-year-old child died when the third-floor wall of a five-storied building under construction by Ripon Group collapsed in the Zarun area of Konabari Police Station of Gazipur City Corporation. 4 people were injured.
The accident took place on Thursday (March, 30) around 1 am.
The name of the deceased child is Mushfiq. The injured persons are - Rubel (35), Mst. Mukta (15), Md. Zahidul Islam (28) and Shahidul Islam (22).
The police and locals said that the 15-feet high wall of the third floor of the five-storied building under construction of Ripon Garments in Zarun area suddenly collapsed on the neighboring house during the rain late on Thursday night. Five people including Mushfiq and his mother, Mukta were injured. Four-year-old Mushfiq died after they were rescued and taken to the hospital.
Gazipur Metropolitan Konabari Police Station Sub-Inspector (SI) Shakhawat Imtiaz said that one person died and four were injured in the accident. Legal action is awaiting.
