The Chief Adviser of the interim government, Professor Dr. Muhammad Yunus, has warned the public about attempts to destabilize the country by a former autocrat, urging everyone to stay alert.
Dr. Yunus made this statement during a discussion marking International Women’s Day at the Osmani Memorial Auditorium earlier today.
In his address, Dr. Yunus claimed that the deposed dictator is spending large sums of money to create unrest in the country.
He stressed the need for heightened awareness, stating, “The deposed autocrat is investing a substantial amount to cause chaos. We need to be as vigilant as we were during times of war. It’s crucial to safeguard the security of women and children. Build social unity against any oppression and support the government in creating a peaceful and harmonious society.”
He also expressed concern about the recent increase in violence and oppression, underscoring the government`s commitment to ensuring equal rights for both men and women.
Dr. Yunus stated, “The government is working with all its strength to secure equal rights for women and men. Any forces that are trying to oppress women and rise against their rights will be confronted by the people of this country, alongside the government.”
The Chief Adviser highlighted several initiatives aimed at advancing the position of women, particularly in terms of economic empowerment. He noted that ongoing efforts continue to promote the participation of women in various sectors.
“The government is always striving for women’s economic empowerment,” he explained. “Several initiatives are already underway, and we’re also discussing what more can be done to ensure women’s progress.”
At the event, five women and the national women’s cricket team were honored with the “Indomitable Woman Award” for their remarkable contributions in their respective fields.
Dr. Yunus personally handed out the awards, recognizing their exceptional achievements and efforts.
This warning from Dr. Yunus comes as the country remains on high alert for any attempts to undermine peace and stability.
The call for vigilance is directed at preventing further unrest and ensuring the safety and progress of all citizens, particularly women and children.
