Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) Kazi Habibul Awal remarked that the stubborn stance of the two major political parties on the interim government for the upcoming 12th National Parliament elections is dangerous for the country.
He also said that if a big party like BNP does not come to the election, it will create a lot of risk in the results.
The CEC said this in response to a question from the journalists after the courtesy meeting with the foreign representatives held at the Agargaon Nirbachan Bhaban in the capital on Thursday.
Foreign representatives attended the meeting at the invitation of the Election Monitoring Forum.
