In a recent development, the High Court has issued a clarification stating that Professor Dr. Muhammad Yunus must notify the court if he intends to travel abroad.
This directive came as part of a ruling on a labor law violation case, delivered by a bench led by Justice Nazrul Islam Talukder on Monday, March 18.
The court decision also overturned a six-month sentence and suspension order against four high-ranking officials of Grameen Telecom, including Nobel laureate Dr. Yunus. The High Court deemed these actions illegal, thereby ensuring the continuation of Dr. Yunus` six-month sentence.
During the court proceedings, Barrister Abdullah Al Mamun represented Dr. Yunus, while Advocate Khurshid Alam Khan represented the Directorate of Factories.
