Clients of the e-commerce company E-orange have threatened fasting unto death apart from taking to streets unless their money is refunded or products are delivered.
They said this during a rally held at the National Press Club on Friday (August 27).
“We are left without any way. Keeping respect to the law, we want to see what they will do till September 20. If they don’t take any decision to defund or deliver products we will take to the streets and go fasting unto death,” clients said.
They alleged that despite giving multiple deadlines the company is yet to deliver bikes. The company’s offices and customer care services are also closed. Its CEO said, they sold out the company. Whether or not he is in the country, no one knows.
E-orange gave 45 days to deliver products but after four months those are yet to be delivered. They want more time.
They said, seeing former cricketer Mashrafe Mortaza as a brand ambassador they invested here. The customers threatened to gherao Mashrafe’s residence. They think, the former captain cannot ignore his responsibility as a brand ambassador.
Earlier on the day, the customers demonstrated in front of E-orange’s office at Gulshan in the capital around 10 am.
