The Capital Development Authority (RAJUK) has said that within the next 7 days, every building in Dhaka will be surveyed and if there is a shop or restaurant in the basement, an early warning notice will be given to the owner of the building.
RAJUK Member (Development and Administration) Tanmoy Das told the media after inspecting the blast-damaged buildings of Gulistan's Siddiqbazar on Thursday (March 9).
He said, we will complete this survey within the next 7 days by dividing Dhaka into 24 subzones and after that a warning notice will be given to the building owners.
Even on the third day of the explosion, the Capital Development Authority (RAJUK) could not find the documents of the blast-damaged building in Siddiqbazar of the capital. In this context, Tanmoy Dash said, the documents are being sought. If the documents are available, it will be understood how many floors the building was approved for.
He also said that many old documents of this building are kept manually. There was a delay in searching for the documents because yesterday was a holiday on Wednesday. How many floors were allowed can be known by looking at the documents.
Incidentally, an explosion occurred on the ground floor of a building in Siddiqbazar around 4:50 pm on Tuesday (March 7). The explosion blew out windows on all floors of the building. At least 22 people were killed in this blast. More than 200 people were injured. The bodies of 18 have been handed over to their families.
