Five freight train coaches on the Dhaka-Mymensingh route derailed in the capital`s Abdullahpur area this morning.
The train derailed in the Abdullapur district, before reaching the Turag River Bridge around 10:45 am.
The Tongi railway police outpost`s sub-inspector, SI Chhoton Sharma, stated that there were no casualties and train services to Dhaka have been temporarily suspended.
One kilometer of the freight train`s line has been bent, and the items on board may have been damaged. The commencement of train service from Dhaka to Joydebpur would require some time.
