Though the government is relaxing the lockdown for the sake of life and living, tougher restrictions are likely to in place if the situation worsens, said Awami League general secretary Obaidul Quader.
He came up with the remark while speaking to a signing ceremony titled to ‘Excel load control center’ at pivotal highways under Road and Highways department at Tejgaon in the capital on Monday (August 9).
Mentioning public interest on vaccine Quader said, “Government has been working relentlessly to collect coronavirus vaccine from various countries. India gave assurance of providing more shots. There is no lapse to continue the ongoing mass vaccination drive.”
“Many people have to incur great loss due to Covid-19 restrictions. Hence, it is being relaxed gradually. However, tougher lockdown is likely to be declared considering the situation,” added he.
