In a positive development for the country's would-be migrant workers willing to be employed in Europe, Moldova has decided to resume recruiting manpower from Bangladesh after over a decade.
Foreign Minister Dr AK Abdul Momen revealed the matter to the media on Sunday, saying that after long negotiations with different stakeholders in Moldova, finally they are agreed to take Bangladeshi workers.
In the first batch, 28 Bangladeshi were issued Moldovian visa those will work in an Aluminum window making factory.
Forty more Bangladeshi workers are in pipeline to get visa from Moldovan authorities, Momen added.
Moldova stopped hiring workers from Bangladesh more than a decade ago.
