Along with other foreign leaders, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina attended a reception held at Buckingham Palace by Britain`s King Charles III on Sunday.
The reception for the presidents, prime ministers, and monarchs from around the world was held by King Charles and his wife Queen Camilla.
Sheikh Rehana, the younger sister of Hasina also joined.
World leaders, foreign royals, and dignitaries who traveled to Britain for the state burial were welcomed by the new king, joined by the queen consort Camilla, on Monday.
Saida Muna Tasneem, the High Commissioner of Bangladesh to the UK, reported that the premier had a long conversation with the new King and the Queen Consort.
They remembered the late Queen Elizabeth, she said.
According to Muna, the prime minister claimed that Queen Elizabeth served as a mother-like figure to her.
The new King was congratulated by Hasina.
The King and Queen Consort, according to Muna, both expressed remorse at having to cancel their planned trip to Bangladesh in October.
She said, that the prime minister of Bangladesh exchanged greetings with the presidents of India and Nepal, the UK, Canada, and New Zealand, as well as other foreign leaders.
Hasina and her younger sister Rehana paid their respects to the late Queen earlier on Sunday morning at the Palace of Westminster, where Elizabeth II`s body was kept.
