Sacked official of the Anti Corruption Commission (ACC) Sharif Uddin has filed an application with the ACC chairman seeking withdrawal of the removal.
Sharif Uddin filed the written application on Sunday morning. The application further sought reinstatement of the ACC deputy assistant director.
The anti-graft body sacked Sharif Uddin on 16 February for ‘breaching the terms of service’. The decision came into effect from that day, read the notification signed by ACC chairman Mohammed Moin Uddin Abdullah.
“Assistant Deputy Director Sharif Uddin has been sacked in line with the jurisdiction provisioned at section 54 (2) of the terms of service of the Anti Corruption Commission. According to the law, he will enjoy salary and other benefits till 90 days,” the notification said.
The removal of Sharif Uddin sparked massive outcry among ACC officials across the country.
