Sajidur Rahman named Hefazat acting secretary general

Maulana Sajidur Rahman has been named the acting secretary general of Hefazat-e-Islam. He was previously the platform's joint secretary general.

Hefazat leaders held an immediate meeting at a madrasa in Dhaka on Monday (November 29) before the janazah of Nurul Islam Jihadi. Anonymously, Sajidur Rahman was nominated as the acting secretary general of the platform. 

Hefazat's publicity secretary Muhiuddin Rabbani said the decision was taken at the immediate meeting to fill the vacancy in the platform as per the protocols.
