Verdict in the case filed against 10 people, including former chief justice Surendra Kumar Sinha will be delivered by a Dhaka court on October 5.

Public Prosecutor Mir Abdus Salam of the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) told the media that Judge Shaikh Nazmul Alam of Dhaka Special Judge Court-4 set the date on completion of closing arguments on Tuesday (September 14).
The court indicted the former chief justice after the trial opened last on August 13 last year.
On December 10, 2019, ACC Director Benazir had filed the charge sheet in the case with the court of Dhaka Metropolitan Sessions Judge KM Imrul Qayes
The others accused in the case are former Farmers Bank (now Padma Bank) managing director AKM Shameem, first vice-presidents Swapan Kumar Roy and Shafiuddin Askaree, senior executive vice-president Gazi Salauddin, vice-presidents M Lutful Haque and Md Mahbubul Haque Chisty , bank clients Md Shahjahan, Niranjan Chandra Saha, Ranajit Chandra Saha and Ranajit's wife Santi Roy.
