The price of gold has hit an all-time high of Tk99,7144 per bhori, with the most recent price hike of Tk1,516 per bhori.
The move will mark the highest ever prices of gold in the country's history.
In a press statement on Saturday, the Bangladesh Jeweller's Association (Bajus) stated that the adjustment came as a result of a price increase in the local bullion market.
The new rate of 22-carat gold comes effective from Sunday, the release added.
With the new rates, 21-carat gold will cost Tk94,653 per bhori and 18-carat gold will cost Tk81,123.
