Gold, silver rates today in Bangladesh

Gold and silver are currently being sold in the domestic market at the latest rates set by the Bangladesh Jewellers Association (BAJUS). The association last adjusted the prices of gold and silver on May 25, and those rates remain in effect.

In a statement, BAJUS said the new prices were determined after considering the overall market situation and the increase in the prices of pure gold and silver in the local market. Under the latest adjustment, the price of gold was increased by Tk 2,158 per bhori, while silver prices were raised by Tk 117 per bhori. The revised rates came into effect at 10:00 am on May 25.

Current gold prices in Bangladesh:

22-carat gold — Tk 238,121 per bhori

21-carat gold — Tk 227,331 per bhori

18-carat gold — Tk 194,847 per bhori

Traditional-method gold — Tk 158,689 per bhori

Prior to that, BAJUS had adjusted gold prices on May 23. At that time, the price of 22-carat gold was reduced by Tk 2,158 per bhori to Tk 235,963. The price of 21-carat gold was set at Tk 225,232 per bhori, 18-carat gold at Tk 193,039 per bhori, and traditional-method gold at Tk 157,231 per bhori. Those rates took effect from 10:00 am on May 23.

According to BAJUS, gold prices have been adjusted 69 times so far this year. Of those, prices were increased on 37 occasions and reduced 32 times. In 2025, gold prices were adjusted a total of 93 times, including 64 increases and 29 decreases.

Silver prices were also increased on May 25. The current silver prices are:

22-carat silver — Tk 5,774 per bhori

21-carat silver — Tk 5,540 per bhori

18-carat silver — Tk 4,724 per bhori

Traditional-method silver — Tk 3,558 per bhori

So far this year, silver prices have been adjusted 40 times, with 22 increases and 18 decreases. In 2025, silver prices were revised 13 times, including 10 increases and three reductions.
